About the City
Gerardmer is a town in north-east of France, in the Lorraine region, the capital of Canton Vosges department in the arrondissement of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges. Its population of 8845 inhabitants makes it the third largest town in the department. It owes its nickname of "Pearl of the Vosges" to Alfred Hugo, Victor Hugo’s brother.
